Julie McMillan

A History of Leadership

For more than two decades, Julie McMillan has volunteered to make our community better. When her children attended the Ross School, she led the Foundation as President and founded its Endowment. As a Ross School Trustee, twice serving as President during her four year term, she was key in rebuilding the K-5 facilities and gym. She now serves as President of the Ross Valley Fire Department Board. She has served on the Marin Wildfire Prevention Authority Board since its inception in 2020 and was President in 2023-24. Julie has been on the Council since 2017, re-elected twice. She was Mayor during the pandemic, and she has been Mayor again since April 2025.

Town Facilities

Julie has worked tirelessly to address the Town's 99-year-old facility, a process the Council began in 2000, 17 years before her time on the Council. She worked to help form and support the Citizens' Advisory Committee. She fully embraces the Gensler concept for the Ross Community and Town Center, and looks forward to building it for Paramedics, Police, Staff, and Public Works, with room for a fire station later.
